There’s a kind of wisdom that only shows up when life gets quiet, heavy, or hard.

When the plan falls apart.
When the person leaves.
When the money runs out.
When the light goes off.

These are the times we usually try to escape.
We scroll. We distract. We numb out.
Because the dark is uncomfortable.

But the Stoics would say:

Don’t run from the dark. Sit with it. Learn from it. Let it shape you.

Pain isn’t always punishment.
Sometimes, it’s preparation.
